Vegetables. They're not often used in beer.  So the fact that they're in this one is kind of interesting.

Here's something else interesting about them: if you think about it, they're basically just different vessels for sunshine.  Think of seeds like pint glasses and the sun like a bartender, filling the glass with rays of energy. Deep, huh?

Mark Rhine over at Rhiba Farms in Chandler, AZ explained that to us.  He's one of the several urban farmers The Shop Beer Co. works with to source excellent ingredients for our beer.  In this one, we used red beets from Rhiba.  Pay attention to the notes of sunshine!
